Dr. Abubakari Ahmed is currently a Lecturer at the SD Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies, Ghana. His research focuses primarily on sustainable generation, distribution, and consumption of energy, with a particular emphasis on energy economics, renewable energy markets, and energy trading. Dr. Ahmed has made significant contributions to the field, publishing his work in reputable journals such as Trends in Ecology and Evolution and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews. He has over 40 publications and has co-edited three books. Dr. Ahmed is a recipient of several international awards and grants, including the prestigious Green Talent Award for the best young sustainability scientist by the German government and the Alexander von Humboldt fellowship. He has also been awarded the Social Science Research Council grant and the International Foundation for Science individual grant.
