Postgraduate and Professional

Adnan Darr is currently an advanced rhinology and skull base fellow at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, having undertaken his higher surgical training within the West Midlands. He maintains a strong passion for education, having held roles as an educational fellow and honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Birmingham, where he received a REME (Recognition of Excellence in Medical Education) award. He has held the role of national audit lead for the British Rhinological Society Juniors (BRSJ) and has maintained an active role in research throughout his medical career. Adnan has a keen interest in endoscopic approaches to the anterior skull base, as well as advanced imaging of the head and neck, having trained as a physicist prior to a career in medicine.

Karan Jolly has completed his higher surgical training in the West Midlands and is currently pursuing a rhinology and anterior skull base fellowship at the Vancouver General Hospital and St Paul’s sinus centre in Vancouver. He has a keen interest in endoscopic skull base surgery and is currently working towards a PhD in endoscopic skull base reconstruction and is the first U.K. trainee to have successfully completed the European diploma of endoscopic skull base surgery from Paris university. In addition to his clinical interests, he remains very active with research and education. Karan has specific interests in simulated training for rhinology and management of skull base tumours.

Jameel Muzaffar is currently TWJ Foundation Fellow in Otology and Auditory Implantation at Cambridge University Hospitals and the Sensory Encoding and Neuro-biological Systems Engineering (SENSE) Laboratory, Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Cambridge.
