Acute medicine. Evidence-based on call
Langue : Anglais
Auteurs : BALL Christopher, PHILLIPS Bob
A handbook of evidence based management of acute medical problems. This new book has been put together by two doctors who worked with David Sackett in Oxford, and are based at his former department, the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine. Whereas Sackett's book, Evidence Based Medicine, dealt with the theory of how to apply EBM, this new book is an instant reference handbook offering a guide to the evidence based management of major medical problems, and is intended for use by junior doctors or residents. Each topic covered is the result of a rigorous process of analysis of the available journal articles on the subject, conducted according to the accepted EBM methodology established by Sackett and co-workers. Each topic has been checked by a recognised expert in the field, and reviewed by doctors at centres of excellence in the UK and North America.
