Dr. Rajan Patel is currently associated as a full time Professor and Head in the Department of Computer Engineering at Gandhinagar Institute of Technology (GIT) and Dean (Engineering and Technology) of Gandhinagar University, Gandhinagar, India. He has more than 17 years of teaching in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. He did his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from RK University, Rajkot, India. He obtained his M.Tech. in Computer Engineering from S. V. National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surat, India, and B.E. in Computer Engineering from Saurashtra University, Rajkot, India. He has more than 56 collaborative publications in journals and conferences and presented 17 articles in National/International conferences including IEEE, Science Direct, Springer, Elsevier. He has published 01 Indian patent and granted 02 Australian patents. As a co-author, he published edited Springer and CRC press books. He received appreciation certification from the Dewang Mehta Innovation IT award and Honored Code certificate in the Technical Communication workshop from IIT, Bombay. He also received two awards: paper presenter at International Conference (2017, 2018-19) from CSI. He received the certificate of excellence for organizing a two-week sponsored FDP from IIT Bombay. He also worked for ISEAP sponsored MHRD project during his Post graduation period at NIT, Surat, India. He acted as a Reviewer/Editorial board member/TPC/Advisory/Session chair/invited guest of IEEE, Springer, IET and other International/National conferences and Journals. He is also associated with the other universities as examiners, supervisor and board members. He is recognized Ph.D. research supervisor and under his guidance 02 Ph.D. scholars awarded PhD degree. Also, he guided more than 16 PG students. His main area of interest is Intelligent Applications and its Security, Information Security, IoT and Cloud Computing.
